In the state of California, many students will be completing CST and STAR testing. Parents can go to http://www.eduplace.com/ for practice STAR testing questions. Parents can also visit this link http://www.cde.ca.gov/ta/tg/sr/css05rtq.asp to see questions for the CST for grades 2-11th.
There are brain foods that won't give your child the rush and lows of many breakfast foods. Think about foods that have a low glycemic value such as bran & blue berry muffins, blueberry shakes, peanut butter shakes, Italian bread crumbs, Greek chicken, baked apples, and yogurt is also a great brain food. Be sure the children are drinking plenty of water.
General books that provide practice to students for specific skills are good. Be sure to learn about the curriculum your childrens' school is using for Math and Language Arts. Learn about the eResources and use them. Then your child will be used to see the types of problems they will be tested on and test taking skills.
ReplyDeleteThis will make your child more comfortable. You can also identify which areas may be challenging for your child. Many eResources give you the option to reteach, practice or etend a lesson. You alsways want to extend the lesson so your child can get used to answering similar questions.
